Great vintage Gibson, from around 1981. This has been in my possession for fifteen years, and I have not used it much (and only for studio recording!). Has light wear all around and some light scratching here and there, but that is about it. Nothing significant. I played it for the first time in years last week, and I thought I detected a minor short in one of the knobs. I think you could get away without even fixing it anytime soon, but if you really wanted to, it would be a cheap fix. Works great...I used this guitar on tons of recordings, and it never let me down. Just a great, classic guitar. I didn't get a good close-up of the neck, but it is in fine shape. Not sure who made the case, but it's durable, and looks cool. Guitar fits in it superbly.

If you don't accept all of them then please do not bid or purchase. Condition of the guitar:
Almost all of the guitars in my store are not a brand new, but a used one, so they wont always be in "PERFECT" condition. This can be especially true of "VINTAGE" guitars that have had many years of use and because of this they can sometimes have issues with playability, so for many reasons they may need care and maintenance before reaching an optimal playing condition. Please read the following detailed information that should always be considered when buying a used guitar. *NeckNowadays a lot of guitar players know the term "JV" (Japan Vintage) and that the values of guitars made in and around the JV era are getting higher. I am glad and proud as a Japanese person that these guitars were made by expert craftsmen with selected materials and I totally agree with the reputation that these guitars have earned. However, in Japan, there is a significant humidity difference through the year which can have a bad influence on the materials in guitars if they are not well kept & carefully maintained. Additionally these guitars were often purchased by beginners or students and can tend to be poorly treated without ever having any maintenance. Sometimes they are stored away for ages after a very short period of use, as a result it is often the case that they have issue's about the neck. I have played guitar for many years and all the guitars in my store were listed only after I checked & played them personally. All of the guitars in my store passed the normal standards/my standards unless particularly stated otherwise.
However that does not mean "perfect" condition as most guitars in the world have some issue be it a scratch or a break. Additionally, the pressure change, humidity change and change in temperature have a bad influence on the guitars during the shipping or after arriving in your country so they may need some adjustment before playing. *FretsAs the guitars are used the frets are worn more or less. I cannot say 70% or 80% left or something like that,,,,,because who can count the degree in a precise way? So please check the degree by the pictures. If the guitar needs refreting or if there is any defect with the frets (judging by my standards) it will be stated in the description.
*(Fret /String) BuzzI check the Fret (String) Buzz by picking normally with light gauge strings (009-046), adjusting the bottom string height (low E) to 2.00mm and the top string height (high E) to 1.7mm
The guitars are used, so slight buzz could occur. If the fret buzz of the guitar is above the normal standard, the detail is described in the description of the guitar.
Anyway, how you feel the fret buzz depends on the player, so any requests to settle repair fee is not accepted. *Cosmetic conditionAs the guitars are used, they might have a number of dents, scratches, blemishes, chips and so on. Unless they are in mint or near mint condition, you cannot describe all of them, so please judge the condition by the pictures. *Electrical partsALL the electrical parts work fine unless there is a particular fault in which case it will be mentioned in the description, but they might have a slight scratchy sound. *Tax and dutiesAs stated above, the auction winner or the buyer is responsible for any and all applicable taxes and duties levied by their government.
Before placing a bid or clicking "Buy it now" button, please enquire with your local customs for detailed information.
*ReturnPlease check the guitar within two days of it being delivered to you.
If it differs significantly from the description I will accept the return.
Payment made for returned goods and the outward shipping fee you paid will be refunded to you within three business days after the guitar is returned and checked by me on received. Please note that any return freight charges, taxes &/or duties you pay for returning an item are not settled. *Insurance for transportationThe insurance of EMS would cover any damage, loss or the robbery/theft of an item during transportation.
The EMS insurance reimbursements might take more than a month to process.
++My Attitude toward business transactionsAs a seller, I do not want to disappoint any buyers when they receiving an item and check it. *Other conditionIf you are new to eBay and have zero feedback or have negative feedback, please contact me before bidding and provide me with your name and your email address for PayPal or your bid will be withdrawn. DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT SHIPPING*To Asia (First Zone) ..............US$132such as China (People's Rep.), Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea (Rep.), Malaysia, Saipan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and so on.
*To North America/Central America (Second Zone)..........US$169such as United States, Canada, Mexico and so on. *To Oceania (Second Zone).........US$169such as Australia, New Zealand and so on. *To Middle East (Second Zone) ..........US$169such as United Arab Emirates, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Bahrain, Cyprus, Jordan, Kuwait and so on. *To Europe (Second Zone)..........US$188such as Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovak, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom and so on. *To South America (Third Zone)..........US$299such as Brazil, Chile and so on.
The fees above are by EMS (Express Mail Service) via Japan Post Office from Japan.
EMS is the cheapest, safest and fastest of all safe shipping methods from Japan
*It will takes 3 to 6 days from JAPAN to USA, CANADA, ASIA, and 5 to 10 days to AUSTRALIA and EUROPE.
*You can check the status via Track & Trace (The EMS Tracking Service)

*Insurance and the handling charge are included in the shipping fee.

*Some countries and some regions are not covered by EMS.

Check it out...What we have here today is a 1973 Vintage Gibson ES 335 Guitar with a Super Hot Original Gibson Humbucker Pickups ...My tech did a great job setting this guitar up and the neck was reset at the Authorized Gibson Luthiers here in Des Moines...it has easy playing low low action...It is a pleasure to play.....It is all original, plays and sounds great...these a bargain for 1970's Gibson Guitars..this one can be had with a Buy it now for under $3000!!!

...........I ship Worldwide.........soooooooooo........

HIT THAT BIN!!

This guitar came to me pretty whopped...I cleaned it for a couple of days to get all the grime off..I was told it was a house instrument in a Bar/Restaurant...I would believe it..under all the grease and grime was an original 1970's Gibson that looks fantastic...this obviously is no closet classic...mucho finish crazing and wear marks...the unfaded area around the soundhole was from a plastic piece that had pickup splitter switches..the guitar faded around it...I took that off first thing..the pots are 1977's but everyone who knows Gibsons here in Des Moines say this is a 1974..It has the volute, Made in USA Stamp, 6 digit serial number, (almost faded off), and pot pointers under the knobs...the sn is 8072** which doesn't help much if you know 1970's Gibsons....Anyway, its a great sounding, looking and playing guitar now...its not the prettiest but she sure does work hard!! The neck had slipped a little in the pocket and I had the Luthiery Shop here in Des Moines take it off and reset it to Factory Specs and angle..they told me that no shims or shaving was necissary...it slipped right back into the pocket with some hide glue and its ready to rock for another 50 years now...It was missing knobs...I scored 3 vintage correct ones and the other volume is a repro..the only non original part on the outside...frets have plenty of life yet..I don't think it was ever refretted...Again, with the pots...all the experts think that the pots were probably replaced in 1977 when they put that pickup splitter plastic plate in...that sounds logical to me..thank goodness they didn't drill any holes....

Lets review whats original on this one....

Just about Everything......The neck, inlaid Gibson Logo, Truss rod cover, nut, fretboard, body, pickguard, pickups, Double line Gibson Deluxe Kluson Tuners and grommets, Gibson Bridge, Tailpiece, Pickup selector and switch tip, and the great Hardshell Gibson case pictured in number 12....What a guitar!!

Now lets see whats not original...

NOT Much!!!.........just the forementioned knobs and pots...thats it.... and it looks great!!! Check out the Finish Crazing on the original Sunburst Finish..Whoa!! ...what a find!!

This guitar sounds stupid good...the Gibson Pickups sound wonderful....the neck feels great and it has easy playing great action ...The back has mucho Finish crazing and buckle rash...see pic 10...

Now this guitar is uber cool but old and vintage so it will sold as-is..no returns thank you...Rest assured however, check my Feedbacks..this one will not be an exception...the lucky bid winner pays $55 shipping for the lower 48...I ship Worldwide every week so please check the shipping calculator for shipping rates to your country...Thanks for looking...

In

experimenting
with
new
and
revolutionary
guitar
designs,
introducing
such
classics
as
the
Flying

the
Explorer,
and
the
ES-335.
While
the
Flying
V
and
the
Explorer
were
(to
put
it
mildly)
ahead
of
their
time,
the
ES-335
became
an
instant
legend
among
blues,
rock,
jazz,
and
country
players.
In
1960,
the
original

meet
the
demands
of
the
serious
musicians
who
had
adopted
it,

was
just
what
guitarists

for.
Now,
for

the
Gibson

1967 Gibson ES-335 TD Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar

Auction is for a 1967 Gibson ES-335 TD Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar. This was quite the find. Definitely not a "closet find" that's hardly been played. It's worn in all the right places. Everything's original except for the tuning machines, which were understandably replaced for better ones. Unfortunately the original owner did not keep the original ones, but these Grovers appear to be on the similar time period. The frets appear to have had a couple of fret jobs. There also pitting on the fingerboard in the first position. Like I said, it's been a player's guitar. There's the normal Gibson finish checking in various places of the guitar. Also the normal binding shrinkage and yellowing. There are also various dings on the guitar. I've tried to highlight the more noticeable ones to give you an overall idea of the appearance. I've added more pictures to our website at this address: http://www.woodysmusic.com/wimages/ebay/instruments/gibson-es335.htm . Includes the original hard shell case which shows similar wear. I`m the second owner of this guitar . All parts are original , including the case . The only thing replaced is the bridge due to a broken retaining wire . The original bridge is included in the case compartment . According to the serial# this is the first guitar to be made at the Nashville , Tenn. factory in this color . This guitar has been a very special to me and has been the center piece of my tiny collection . It stays in tune beautifully and is strung with D`Addario XL.009 stings . Just a couple of tiny craze lines and no cracks or break issues on this one . Original Grover tuning gears came on this guitar .
